Residence: Changing Focus
A Room with a New Focus

A Room with a New Focus

The entertainment area provides space for TV viewing, stereo components, a refrigerator under the bar, storage, and display for art.  The seating focuses on the media center and allows one to enjoy the outdoors as well.  The room also has a fireplace and game table.

Changing Focus Challenge:

Changing the family room from a room with a bar for adults to a game room with a TV, lots of storage and a focus on the exterior for a family.

Solution:

Removing the large bar that jutted into the room, adding better lighting, replacing furniture and changing the arrangement, building an entertainment area with flexibility, and adding a game area made this a room to be used by the entire family.

What they're saying

As you probably know, Paula, your faux artist, finished the fireplace last week. It is absolutely gorgeous! The more we live with it, the more beautiful it becomes. The curtains you chose, are the finishing touch on the room, and added the warmth and elegance we were looking for. Your visions for what a room needs, in order to be more than "just very nice", but stunning, cannot be matched by anyone! Thank you for all your time and creative gifts. I can hardly wait to do the kitchen!

Fondly
Anne
