Residence: Enhancing the Spanish Mexican Flavor of an Existing Home
Continuing the “Old World” Theme

Continuing the “Old World” Theme

The Old World theme is evident in the cabinetry and painted beams.  The crown molding is made of many sections and painted to enhance the ceiling.

Enhancing the Spanish Mexican Flavor of an Existing Home Challenge:

Build upon the basic structure of this house enhancing and adding to the architectural features to produce a cohesive Spanish Mexican themed home.  The house is nestled into the mountain with great city views that are being ignored.

Solution:

Add a large room with lots of detail and rich color for gatherings around a large fireplace surrounded with cabinetry for books and media.  Add a porch that surrounds 2 sides of the room for sunsets, city lights, and wildlife in the mountain.

What they're saying

"My husband and I were undertaking a total house remodel complete with additions. This was a new experience for us as we had never "built" a home before. I was living in Seattle during the year long process making periodic visits to Tucson, so it was imperative to have a designer we could trust. Linda was there with us every step of the way. We could never have envisioned or created such a beautiful home without her attention to detail, creativity and keen sense of color and design. Linda was a joy to work with throughout the process."
