Residence: Enhancing the Spanish Mexican Flavor of an Existing Home
Create a one of a kind Tapestry for that hard to fit space

Create a one of a kind Tapestry for that hard to fit space

This tapestry was created to fit a long narrow space above the wet bar.  Beading and hand-quilting give depth and appeal to the piece.  It is a conversation piece as it adds interest to the room.

Enhancing the Spanish Mexican Flavor of an Existing Home Challenge:

Build upon the basic structure of this house enhancing and adding to the architectural features to produce a cohesive Spanish Mexican themed home.  The house is nestled into the mountain with great city views that are being ignored.

Solution:

Add a large room with lots of detail and rich color for gatherings around a large fireplace surrounded with cabinetry for books and media.  Add a porch that surrounds 2 sides of the room for sunsets, city lights, and wildlife in the mountain.

What they're saying

Linda, thanks for your help. We would never come up with such an interesting window treatment ourselves.
