Relaxed Living in the Desert Challenge:

Designing a retirement home that takes advantantage of the dramatic mountain views and encourages casual living.

Solution:

Upon entering this home, one is aware of the visual impact of simple geometic forms that provide the interior drama.  The mountain vista becomes the backdrop painting.  Space is divided into the entry that welcomes guests, “the gathering room” for conversation and TV watching, the intimate dining room and a kitchen central to all the living activities.  In each room, contrasting textures of natural stone, wood and tile are layered with metals, fabrics and subtle color.  Complexity of scale and depth of detail create a unique desert home.

What they're saying

"My husband and I were undertaking a total house remodel complete with additions. This was a new experience for us as we had never "built" a home before. I was living in Seattle during the year long process making periodic visits to Tucson, so it was imperative to have a designer we could trust. Linda was there with us every step of the way. We could never have envisioned or created such a beautiful home without her attention to detail, creativity and keen sense of color and design. Linda was a joy to work with throughout the process."
