The dark blue ceiling above the dropped areas create drama and visually enlarge the space in this contemporary great room. Textures and color are highlighted in the slate fireplace that is adjacent to the polished wood entertainment center. The niches above give ample opportunity to showcase brightly colored art objects.

Good design will invite conversation, relaxation, and enjoyment by planning traffic patterns and seating while finding the best combination of color and space.
